This is a follow-up from my prayer request for my relative who had had a stroke. He is now back home and doing OK. He has a small speech deficit, needing to search for the correct word or two, and has some numbness in his hand. Physical therapy is in the conversation, I think.
He is at the age where retirement might offer some real challenges financially, so he and his wife will need to process that option. Insurance, income and meaningful options are certainly a source of concern.
I want to thank each of you for your prayers and support. The numbers of my readers who offered support with your comments as well as sharing the post with others, so they could pray is so heart-warming. I would hate to NOT reach out and NOT pray because I wouldn't want to see what the outcome would be in that situation!!
Don't know if you have ever noticed for yourself how hard it is to pray especially when in the midst of a crisis or in quagmire. Being too focused on the event just blocks the ability to focus on praying; it is so nice to know how you lifted me, my family and this request up. It is like a life jacket around me, as well as my family. They thanked me every time I told them my friends were praying for them.
I am truly blessed. Thank you again for being the friends you are to me, for praying and lifting these needs up. We sincerely appreciate it!
